[musictlk] Scanner Question

Hi, Evelyn and List Members,

Actually, Kris did contact me directly before posting here but I told her
that we at Dancing Dots have had no experience with this particular scanner.
As far as we know, any Twain-compatible scanner should work with the
SharpEye music OCR software that we bundle with our GOODFEEL Braille Music
Translator software. But I can say that the fussiest, most troublesome
interface is generally with HP scanners. SharpEye requires you to set the
scanning interface software that comes with your scanner to acquire a
black-and-white image at 300 dots per inch. It seems that on all scanner
interfaces except for HP, you can make that setting and save it for future
sessions, that is, you can set it and forget it!

But that is not possible when using HP Precision Scan or other HP scanner
interfaces. I wish I knew why but that has been our experience.

To learn more about GOODFEEL, go to www.DancingDots.com and follow the
"GOODFEEL" link.

Regards,
Bill

Hi,

Perhaps you should ask this question on one of the Dancing Dots lists
or address Bill McCann directly.
