Sorry about the confusion. I should have been more clear. As long as you
have a device that will show Braille output (any sort of braille display,
whether a separate hardware device or built-in to something else), i.e.
that will allow you to actually read the file in Braille, then you can use
BRF files with no trouble.

I don't have my book with me at the moment. Could you quote the relevant
sentence or paragraph from the passage?

He was probably simply using it as an expression, most likely to make a
point, just like people do today, and since he id directly quoted, the
quotation was not edited. If you send me the quote, I could elaborate
more based on the context. Also, on the subject of what fowl language has
to do with music, I would say that it falls under the category of what
text/words/language have to do with music. I can elaborate on this point
if you would like. Just let me know.
A quick note: it seems that you have many questions along the lines of
"what does x have to do with music?" Music is not some mutually exclusive
thing (i'm not saying you don't know what I'm about to say, I just thought
I'd make a few notes). It comes from and is influenced by the cultures
from which it comes, so it is affected by and affects other things in
those cultures and the world in general. It may seem that music and x
thing don't go together, but if one thinks about it (and reads more about
it), it turns out that they often do. I could give some examples, but you
PROBABLY know what I mean.
i hope this helps. Feel free to e-mail me any time.
