Hello again Miranda -

This is Marty again. I am a lifelong musician and made my living at it for over
twenty years in one form or another.

  Hi,
I've considered consulting with voice instructors, but I don't have the funds to take lessons, nor do I know of any in my area who would best suit my style.
I actually teach voice myself to children, and absolutely love it!
Honestly, I have friends who'd be more than willing to aid me, but I'm truly looking for a musician's prospective.
I'm glad to know there are others on this list! I had just recently subscribed, and after not seeing anything posted, I wasn't sure if the list had been abandoned or not.
Does anyone know of any other such lists as this one?
Thanks, and have a great day!

  In Christ, Miranda

  This is an interesting subject.
My sighted mother (no longer living) told me that she heard Andrea
Bocelli (spelling mine, sorry) sing. He looked wooden
and stiff. But what a voice.
Now friends say he has loosened up and looks very natural onstage.

I cannot give you any tips, unfortunately. But you've come to the
right place for interesting discussion of it.

I am a Christian from a totally different perspective; I aim to just
sing conservative hymns and songs and not move around at all. so I'll
be no help. But others will be.

Hope you get lots of good answers. I think that if I were looking to
improve my stage presence, as one who has never seen, I would get
someone I trust to help me. It's almost like taking singing lessons.
There are folk who could tell you immediately how to improve; then
there are those who might know what looks right but not be able to
  communicate it.

  All the best,
  Penny
