I second what Cindy says. I'm not discounting the value of an education in
any way. In fact, I would strongly encourage you to find a college where
you could major in music and perhaps even bagpipes. That way you're
covering all the bases and will have more choices later on in your career.
I was simply commenting on the issue of parental control and legal rights.

Marty, Michael did not raise the issue. Alexandria did.
Alexandria, I think it is a control issue. I wouldn't turn thumbs down on
school, but there is time. If you cane make it as a musician without it, and
you really think you can make a living doing that, go for it. My opinion,
but I think music can be fickle and it might not hurt to have something else
to fall back on, but school is grueling enough to do when you long to, or at
least at times, let alone when you are forced into it.
