[musictlk] Mixer shopping

Good evening everyone,

I'm thinking of checking Barrenger's Site to find a local dealer here in
town given all of the access issues we now have with consumer electronics.
While I like to shop on the Internet when it comes to purchases of these
devices being able to, "Get my hanbs on it" to be sure I'm able to use the
thing as a blind person is job one. The Boss isn't out of the question as I
personally like having the recording feature on-board should I be in a
situation where someone wants their meeting recorded, but not streamed to
the Web making the computer unnecessary. Thanks for the suggestions so I can
weigh my options.

Hi, Peter,

As you may recall, Dancing Dots offers an access solution to Cakewalk's
SONAR digital audio and MIDI software which was formerly marketed as
Cakewalk Pro Audio. For details, go to www.DancingDots.com and follow the
link to CakeTalking for SONAR. You will also find a link from our home page
and other points on our site to ZZounds, an online retailer of a wide range
of musical technology including the Behringer mixers.

Regards,
Bill

Hey Peter. Look at the Barenger U B 802. Those mixers are mutch less than
the boss, and has the features you'll need for analog hookups to the
computer. If you are recording on the computer, you wouldn't need the
recording functions on the boss, so a much cheaper mixer will suffice, and
totally do the trick. A friend of mine works for a pro music gear company,
and can definitely advise you as to the equipment needed, and can definitely

get you into something for much less than the boss. Feel free to call Joel
at sweetwater sound at 1-800 222-4700, ext 1355. He'll totally hook you up.

Hope this helps.
