Hey Peter. Look at the Barenger U B 802. Those mixers are mutch less than 
the boss, and has the features you'll need for analog hookups to the 
computer. If you are recording on the computer, you wouldn't need the 
recording functions on the boss, so a much cheaper mixer will suffice, and 
totally do the trick. A friend of mine works for a pro music gear company, 
and can definitely advise you as to the equipment needed, and can definitely 
get you into something for much less than the boss. Feel free to call Joel
