Hi Jim,
I did read the message just fine.
I have many questions though.
I have never been a fan of rehab centers as I call them taking on all
disabilities.
I always feel that the blind loose out.
Not much was said on behalf of the vending stands,
I also am wondering here in Montana, are there any house keepers who are
blind working in hotels?
I know at one time I was in contact with a lady in Nashville working for a
hotel as a house keeper.
She wasn't a total though.
She also worked as a grocery store sacker, and was able to take the carts to
the persons cars.
I thought at one time, there was a bill speaking on behalf of SSDI to allow
the blind to be able to work more hours and not loose benefits.
I am on a different program with social security.
It is with the adult blind who can't work.
This was given to me when I lost Medicade and now am on Medicare.
I am told I would loose Medicare if I worked.
Until I was sixty five.
With the cost of Medicines I don't know how to get around this one.
I would give anything to work from home.
But also receive Medicare.
Where does the blind get the desire to work with their hands tied.
So for me, it is hard to stand up for the programs when I see others benefit
and I keep watching.
Hope this makes sense?
thanks,
--Dar
