This comes from the National effort to get the NLS Talking Books program
back on track for converting to digital formats. Remember, last year we had
to call to raise the funding level to about $12 million. But that was still
$5 million short of what was needed to complete the multi-year transition.
So, we need to get Rep. Dennis Rehberg to sign on as a co-sponsor. See
below. I'm pasting Denny's contact info into the message below.

and Action Needed
Fellow Federationists:
I am writing to ask you to make phone calls to your members in the House of
Representatives this week. Please urge your Representatives to sign on to
Congressman Towns’ Dear Colleague letter in support of full funding for the
Talking Books program. Congressman Towns was joined by Congressman
Bilirakis of Florida as the lead Republican on this letter. Your
representative can contact either Dana Grayson in Congressman Towns’ office
or Jerry White in Congressman Bilirakis’ office to join on to this letter.
Congressman Towns’ office is going to hold the letter open for cosigners
through the close of business next Monday, March 10. We need to get as many
members of the House of Representatives as possible to cosign by the March
10 deadline.
To be connected with your member of the House of Representatives, please
call the Capitol switchboard at (202) 225-3121. Thank you all for your hard
work on this matter.
Cordially,
Jesse Hartle
