I apologize for being late for this reminder about the deadline for the Winter issue of the Observer.  I've had some medical problems:  a total right knee replacement Dec. 17, which went very well and is almost completely functional again, followed a week later by a rare lung inflammation which put me back in the hospital for a week while they tried to diagnose it.  Anyway, I am responding to treatment and starting to think about the future.  We would like to keep to the Feb. 1 deadline for Observer material as much as possible, so if you have anything you would like to have put in please send it on asap.
