70 years. That is wonderful, Flo & Joe. Many many more and oh how the
memories do neatly pile up, as we move along these railways and highways and
by ways, eh? Congratulations, and many more. I'm so glad to hear that you
were showered with well wishers at the Great Falls gathering. And now may
Karen and I just add to the happy anniversary wishes. We treasure you and
thank you for all you do for your community, and for your fellow blind
Montanans.
This past September 4, Karen and I celebrated our 25th anniversary. And we
may not have as many as 70, but we sure do also just wonder where all the
time went, and we enjoy the memories. Some of you may know that those early
memories were with the M A B and the summer program, and that it was at the
1982 session that we met. I have always thanked Lelia Proctor for having a
hand in that as she was persistent about me coming to the session. Many
other traditions followed for Karen and I. And our partnership has
sustained us through challenges. We hope it will sustain us to someday
celebrate 70 years also. As the George Harrison song says, "Stick around
now it may show."
Best,
Rik James

Thanks, Bruce an Joy, It has been rewarding to hear from all of you MAB guys
since Jim's article in MT-Blind. And it was Lois Dupuis who announced at at
confention. Doesn't really seem that long, but the old bodies DO feel it.
They say the first 50 years are the hardest, so keep on doing what you're
doing and you will make it.
Love, Flo and Joe
