[Mt-blind] Loss of a leader

Dear List,

Most of you do not know who Betsy Zaborowski was, but I assure you her 
influence will be felt for generations to come. Betsy, who died early 
this morning, was the founding Director of the Jernigan Institute, NFB's 
center for research and eduction for blind people.

The Jernigan Institute strives to understand the real problems of 
blindness and to develop innovative education, technologies, products 
and services that help the world’s blind achieve independence. The 
Jernigan Institute has developed programs in Education, Employment and 
Rehabilitation, Jacobus tenBroek Library, Parent Outreach, Seniors, and 
Technology.

Betsy will be missed.
