To all, While the success, support and recognition Camp Eureka is receiving, is the result of the work many individuals and groups, it is our own Beth Underwood who was and is the driving force for Camp Eureka. Thank you Beth, for all you do! Marty

>Dear Blind List,
>
>We continue to receive wonderful support for the Camp Eureka! program.
>Our most recent contribution is from the Qwest Foundation in the amount
>of $8,000. We have also received major contributions from the NFB
>Imagination Fund, the MAB, the James H. Woods Foundation, the Marshall
>and Mary Brondum Special Assistance Foundation, the Missoula Downtown
>Lions Club, Juniper Hill Enterprises, the Charles Engelhard Foundation,
>the Montana Arts Council and National Endowment for the Arts. Other
>contributors are the Polson Lions Club, Lolo Lions Club, Missoula
>Southside Lions Club, East Missoula Lions Club, and VSA Arts of
>Missoula. In addition, the NFB is providing campers with white canes
>and field research equipment adapted for blind students and REI of
>Missoula is once again offering tents, sleeping bags, and camping
>equipment. The Craighead Wildlife/Wildlands Institute and Montana
>Conservation Science Institute continue to provide office space and
>related expenses. All of these extremely generous contributions help us
>continue to provide an incredibly valuable program that brings blind
>children, blind young adult and adult mentors, teachers of the blind,
>scientists, artists, naturalists, and musicians together to encourage
>and train blind children in the arts and sciences and in the skills and
>positive attitudes of blindness that will help ensure their happiness
>and personal success.
>
>This weekend we will host the first part of our Camp Eureka! 2007
>training program in Missoula for volunteers, staff, and instructors.
>Our campers this summer come from across Montana, as well as Utah,
>Minnesota, Washington, Illinois, and South Carolina. Our program has
>reached national attention and recognition. We can be proud of the
>service we are providing blind youth!
