[Mt-blind] rooms left

Hi Jim and list,

Quite often BLVS decides to have some kind of meeting around the time of our
convention so appropriate people can be there at the time during our
convention. This often takes rooms away from convention goers. Then those
rooms become available for convention people on Saturday. This should be
investigated since some conventioners lose out because of this problem. If
on the other hand, it is all of us, this truly is a good thing but I don't
think so.

I just called the Great Falls Hampton, and the reservations clerk told
me the rooms are gone. According to the clerk, not only are the MAB
rooms gone, but the entire hotel is full that weekend. Is there any
chance of setting up a second hotel with transportation to the
Hampton? How about information on other hotels in the neighborhood?

I have to say this is a nice problem to have, that is, more people
coming to convention than we expected. Out of curiosity, how many
rooms did we reserve for the MAB block?

Thanks much!
