The Governor's Committee on Disability issues and Employment is
recruiting applicants to fill twelve AmeriCorps*VISTA Member positions
to serve as members of Disability Program Navigator Teams in WorkSource
Centers across the State of Washington.  Under the direction of Local
Disability Program Navigators, these AmeriCorps*VISTA Members will serve
as resources assisting WorkSource staff and partners to improve the
access, services and outcomes that WorkSource Centers and Affiliates
provide for job seekers who have disabilities.  These positions will be
located in the following cities in Washington State: Spokane, Walla
Walla, Kennewick, Yakima, Omak, Seattle, Bellingham, Olympia, Everett,
Kelso, Tacoma and Bremerton.

Please help us get some great applicants. These positions would be
wonderful for anyone interested in starting a career in disability
policy or advocacy.  They will get hundreds of hours of training on
legal rights programs, policies and resources, and the VISTA stipends
are not countable income under SSI or SSDI.
