Good evening everyone,
I want to report that since the new NFB of Missouri Web Site was
launched all is working well. I have received many wonderful messages from
NFBMO Members, and others both in, and out of Missouri who visited the new
Web site and really liked what we have built working together. Although I
provided the know-how to over-haul the old site it is you who provided the
new and refreshing content. A Web site is only as good and as useful as the
content it contains. Together we made the new affiliate Web site one of the
best among the NFB's cyber family. Insofar as I know neither Dan nor I have
received any trouble reports since the new site was launched.
As I told Shelia Wright earlier this evening over the next few days I'll
play the part of John Q. Web Surfer visiting the site and having a casual
look around. It's a way of ensuring that all of the site's components work
correctly and that there aren't any problems we over looked during the final
testing prior to launch. I have all ready fixed a few minor issues on some
of the, :"Conventions" pages and will check for others throughout the site
before we enter the next stage of Web site development.
One informational area we all over looked when compiling links for the,
"Resources" area are links to Missouri radio reading services. If you could
send me the names and Web URLS of radio reading services serving your part
of the state I'll be sure to add them under the, "Library Services" hedding
on the, "Resources" page.
Beyond checking the site for glitches and to ensure that all components
function properly I, and I'm sure some of you will be enjoying the 2007 NFB
of Colorado State Convention being broadcast this weekend. Best wishes from
Mary and myself for a great weekend; especially if it will be a long one for
you.
