[La-students] New Lists

Since I last sent out one of these messages, there are several new
lists here on NFBNET.ORG. The most significant of which is
reader-users, and is for the support of the Kurzweil National
Federation of the Blind Reader, the worlds first hand-held print
reading appliance.
This list is intended as a means of supporting the Kurzweil National
Federation of the Blind Reader and its users. It is a place where
Reader users can
ask questions, share tips on using the Reader, learn about innovative
uses for the device, find out about upgrades, and more.

national involvement, and local issues as they pertain to the chapter.
General informational posts that may be relevant to the members are also
permitted.

The NFB of North Carolina Parents (nfbofncp) list has been set up to
facilitate timely dissemination of Important information to the members of
the Parents Division of the NFB of NC. It will allow the leaders of the NFB
of NC and the Parents Division to establish two-way communication among
committed members of the Parents Division of the NFB of NC. It will also be
a forum for the members of the Parents Division of the NFB of NC to bring
issues to the attention of other members
across the state.

nfbwv-talk (NFB of West Virginia Talk List)
This is the e-mail listserv of the West Virginia affiliate of the National
Federation of the Blind.
The purpose of this list is to disseminate timely information and promote
relevant discussion among the members of the NFB of West Virginia. It will
serve as a vehicle for distributing NFB-RELATED information of national
importance to the members of the West Virginia affiliate. At the same time,
however, affiliate and chapter leaders are encouraged to share information
about organizational projects and accomplishments.

The Virginia Association of Blind Students (VABS) is a division of
the National Association of Blind Students and the National

Virginia. This list will provide a forum for blind high-school and
college students in Virginia to network, to discuss common issues,
and to exchange information.
All students (including students who are not members of VABS) are
welcome, as are those interested in issues affecting blind students.
