Hello Friends:

Thought you might enjoy this article about Lisa Ostrowe and the "Sound
in Sight" project of the Performing Arts Division. I've been trying to
get some publicity for the project, which I am part of, and thought this
web site was perfect for Lisa Ostrowe. They thought so too. Spread
it around. I'm pasting it below, but here is the URL:

Also, anyone who can explain how to make a link live using Jaws and
Thunderbird or Outlook 2003, please let me know.

Boston area resident & recording artist,
 Lisa Ostrow
, volunteers her time and talents to raise funds for the Polycystic
Kidney Disease (PKD) Foundation and the Performing Arts Division of the
National Federation
of the Blind (PAD/NFB) - both nonprofits are dear to her heart.

Blind from birth, Lisa earned a cum laude degree in Slavic Languages and
Literatures from Harvard. Honored for her excellence as a pianist and
vocalist
in the U.S. and Canada, Lisa is donating the proceeds from her first CD,
"Unconditional" to the PKD Foundation. She is participating in two
projects for
the PAD/NFB. She was recently chosen to head the committee for the Mary
Ann Parks Performing Arts Scholarship, and she donated her recording of
"Once
Upon a Time" to the "Sound in Sight, Vol. 1" CD a compilation of the
work of eighteen blind recording artists. Proceeds support PAD/NFB
advocacy and networking
projects which assist blind people in all aspects of performing arts
including not only music and songwriting but also acting, sound
engineering and broadcasting.

Lisa, who has never let her blindness stand in her way, is the mother of
three teenage girls. Her thirteen-year-old identical twins suffer from
PKD, a
life-threatening disease effecting 12.5 million people worldwide. Her
daughters and husband, Peter, provide back-up vocals on "Once Upon a Time."
