[Journalists] Question for the Pros

So far as I know, when you submit an article or book, etc, you put your name
and address on it, and can put any name you use as a byline under the title,
but request payment to you. I never heard that you need to file something in
the newspaper. You are not, after all, changing your name, just adopting a
pen name.
