Hello, Pirzada. As a reader of several
blindness magazines, I have a question you might be able to help
answer.

I often read about the huge disparity between what blind people in
the United States have and what they have in other countries. It
pains me to hear that people in some of these countries don't even
have decent Braille paper or writing equipment, much less
opportunities for decent jobs. I am aware of this disparity, and I
believe people in the U.S. should help out when they can.

I'm interested in the situation in Pakistan. Are people open to
having people with disabilities in high-profile careers? Does it
depend on where you live or your background? I ask this mostly
because I hear so many pleas for just the basic necessities in many
parts of the world, and I wonder how to treat some of them.
