			Yes, I knew about the photo, and 
protested,and didn't think they would EVER run it.

I'm way way too busy. We've had downsizing and a prolonged pregnancy 
leave, so I have two new duties - one of whom is your favorite but 
which I can't stand. It's helping with police stuff, and part of the 
time I have morning meetings (because of my other new duty.) Do I 
want a pension from Hearst? Hmmmmm. Not sure.

My dad is not doing well; he has dementia and Parkinson's, so I don't 
want to be to far away.

On the bright side, I'm doing some cool volunteer work, much of it on 
e-mail and on ethe phone, with young blind women interested in 
careers. I pray for them daily (when I manage my time right), talk to 
them. I would say that is my new passion, helping "my girls" succeed. 
I only wish I could do advocacy in the public schools for blind kids 
and get paid for it. But I don't (yet) have the right degree and am 
not sure I want to go for a master's unless a job were fairly - well, 
not certain, but ...

I'm also having some fun collecting vinyl records and trying to get 
more active with leader Dogs for ht Blind. I have elected not to join 
their user group, but am hopeful I can do some more field work and 
public speaking to help them. It would give me the time "out of 
Dodge" that I need.

Don't know about SFL; it's gotten awfully pricey and a bit cliquish 
for me, but, hey, try and comnvince me!

In the summers I spend a week teaching Braille music at a camp for 
young people who are blind. That's been very rewarding. We now have 
the software so our kids can get Braille copies of all the original 
music we use in our choral and keyboard work for our recitals. I'm 
hoping we can market the program, Braille Beats Fine Arts Program, 
around the Midwest. I'm working on getting info together to write 
some pieces in some magazines that i think would bite.
