I have read lots of first-person articles,
mostly in "Dialogue" and in columns. Columns are a great way to
include personal experiences, and my newspaper welcomes them. The
columns I write about blind life get lots of commends from readers
and from people I know. I don't think, then, that first person is a
bad thing at all, just as long as you stay in that mode and don't
weave the story in and out of mode.
