[Journalists] Question re magazine submissions

Hi NFB friends,

As a new subscriber to this list, I hope that his uestion will not be off topic.  I am a free lance writer in the Endless Mountains region of Pennsylvania.  I am concerned about proper procedure for  submitting queries to magazines for nonfiction articles.  I thought many years ago that I heard or read that you are to submit queries to only one magazine at a time.  My husband thinks this is rediculous, and the recent books I've read on getting things published didn't mention it.  I would appreciate it if someone would let me know.
