I am using an iBook. I use Textedit to do most of my word
processing, but I sometimes, just to be on the safe side, wil write
out stuff in HTML code, and then cut and paste that page into the
word processor. That makes the text just the way it's supposed to be.
There are other word processors out there for the Mac that are plenty
accessible, but they cost--tthey don't come with it.
Now, if you need to generate PDfs for some reason, you can use Tex
Shop, a nice handly processor/editor that converts your stuff iinto a
properly formatted PPDF file. I'm trying to figure out how to get a
template put together for articles. Well several, really. There's
press releases, media releases, magazine articles, nnewspaper
articles ... the list can go on and on.
I'm sorry I only got in here just now. II just started my njob this
passt Monday, the 23rd. Then yesterda I took a trip to Harrisburg,
Pa, to attend a day-and-a-half-long conference.
If you want more information about Macs, go to
www.apple.com
and most especially subscribee to the Mac-Discuss list.
Go tto
www.macvisionnaries.com
and click on Mailing Lists. Then you can subscribe to the geranl list.
