Job Duties:
This position is located in the Business Enterprises Program (BEP) at 
the State Services for the Blind, 2200 University Avenue, St. Paul.
Provide business management guidance and technical assistance to 
legally blind business operators. The businesses consist primarily of 
vending machines.
Provide contract management services focusing on profitability, 
continuity of service and compliance with applicable laws, rules and 
program policies.
Develop and promote program expansion by expanding existing accounts 
and creating new business opportunities. Provide direct vending 
machine technical
assistance and in-service training. Develop capital expenditure 
proposals. Purchase equipment parts and supplies. Coordinate the 
repair services, installation
and maintenance of equipment. Maintain and develop positive 
relationships with business operators, customers and co-workers.

Overnight travel required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Three years of management experience, preferably in a supervisory 
role, in the vending, retail or fast food industry.

A Bachelor's Degree in Business or closely related field will 
substitute for one (1) year of work experience.

teamwork and eliciting cooperation both within and outside the 
program. Must be able
to communicate with customers, operators and co-workers with tact and skill.

Experience with spreadsheet and word processing software.

Experience using Internet, e-mail, and navigating websites.

Possess analytical skills sufficient to evaluate contract 
administration and recommend policy and/or procedural changes 
compliant with Federal and State
laws and program policies. Ability to identify issues and determine 
appropriate responses to concerns.

Work independently with limited supervision. Possess attributes of a 
self-starter and problem-solver.
