Thanks for your response. The position is in Woodlawn, just
outside of Baltimore, at the Social Security Administration. For a
candidate with a Bachelors degree and at least 5 years of experience the
salary range is $80,000-$90,000 with benefits. In addition, there is a
good possibility of hire by Lockheed Martin or the Social Security
Administration at some point after 6 months of employment with

you could help me. I'm looking for a legally blind person who knows how
to test assistive technology, specifically screen readers. This is a
full-time, salaried position with a very nice salary range. The work
supports the Social Security Administration in Baltimore. If you know

ReliaSource is looking for a qualified candidate to
support a government client with testing of Accessibility Software for
the legally blind. Candidate must be legally blind, and have extensive
experience in the field of accessibility evaluation for Section 508
compliance using screen readers.
With a Bachelors degree in a related field, a minimum of
5 years of experience is required, with proven ability to work
independently or under only general direction on consulting, testing and
process issues. Activities may include, but are not limited to, the
following:
o Identify, document, rank, and classify Section 508
defects.
o Identify, document and quantify overall
application risks associated with the existence of Section 508
compliance issues.
o Research best practices to address outstanding
accessibility issues.
o Evaluate existing policies and procedures and make
recommendation to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
o Effectively communicate orally and in writing with
advanced technical writing skills.

Specific Knowledge and Experience:
* Experience using a screen reader to test Windows
applications, Internet applications, and websites for compliance with
Section 508.
* Strong knowledge of structured accessibility testing
methodologies that integrate automated testing manual testing, and
usability testing.
* Strong knowledge of accessibility best practices.
* Experience writing both high-level and detailed
technical reports.
