Hi Kerry,
IN order to get your word out about your company and the projects you do,
what publications or groups have you spoken to in getting your word out.
Are you a certified braille transcriber? Are you getting your materials
professionally proofread by a blind proofreader. Who is certified?
Do you have a business plan written out? What equipment or software are you
using in doing this work? Are you using a scanner in getting your material
into the computer? Are you using sighted assistance to compare the print
copy from the electronic copy to ensure accuracy before translating these
files?
Are you considering doing braille transcription work for school districts or
other educational institutions who may need materials transcribed into
braille?
Transcribing technical materials in sience and math is a big demand but
there is a severe shortage of people doing it in this area.
Have you taken the NLS Braille Transcription courses that are being offered?
I'd like to talk with you on a private basis.
Write to me at lhall007 at cinci.rr.com or call me at (513) 931-7070 at home
after 4:30 P.M. or call me on my cell phone at (513) 550-5155. If I don't
answer, leave a voice mail and I'll call you back.
I look forward to hearing from you very soon.

Subject: [Jobs] Braille transcription
I would like to know if there is a way to find on going work doing Braille
transcription while I am finishing my masters degree in Rehabilitation
Administration? I have my own business K.S. Braille Transcription service
and can be checked out on the web at:
www.ksbrailletrans.com
I have done a lot of little projects but they are not on-going. Also trying
to get payed by these individual accounts or chasing after restaurant owners
to pay or even get the work from them in the first place is extremely hard.
If any one has any ideas please let me know.
Kerry
