WORKING MATTERS
In her introductory message (from SOLUTIONS Monthly e-Magazine #3)
Kristen explains:
"Employment matters, especially to people with disabilities, and that's
why Hire Disability Solutions is here. But the issues that are
associated with employment also matter. And that's why I'm here. I am
the new Editor of SOLUTIONS, the monthly e-Magazine of Hire Disability
Solutions, LLC. I have a disability and have been employed for a long
time, so I have experienced many of these things first-hand. I will be
writing a new column each month called "Working Matters," which will
focus on the work-related issues that contribute to overall happiness
and wellbeing, especially as they apply to people with disabilities.
I encourage input from readers on topics you would like to see us write
about. Feedback and "Letters to the Editor" are always welcome. It is
with great joy that I look forward to discovering what matters to you."
SOLUTIONS
is an online Monthly e-Magazine published by Hire Disability Solutions.
Each issue features articles about the employment of individuals with
disabilities and disability-related topics. Our Monthly e-Magazine will
feature stories on the following topics:
* Corporate Initiatives
* Business
* Travel
* Fashion
* Accessibility
* Adaptive Equipment
* Success Stories
The primary purpose of the publication is to provide information to the
Hire Disability Solutions community that will help increase
understanding and awareness of disability related issues and help
facilitate employment. The Hire Disability Solutions community consists
of corporations who have a commitment to helping individuals with
disabilities succeed, individuals with disabilities seeking employment,
and others who believe in the Hire Disability Solutions' mission of
"Giving all that want to succeed, the opportunity to succeed".
SOLUTIONS is primarily distributed electronically to individuals who
have signed up to receive it, but each issue is available on HireDS.com
<http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?e=001cymkMLmLx4PUIIYZFviafTDJwXuJ_g1MWli2BC1IqVjh
c1CkMsNFO2hT5_Tva9ilUoMpT60iv_PSz3msggkbDyI_XllIDE_LhSuZsFLfKKQ=> for
individuals who register. Printed copies are available upon request.
For the December 2007 Edition of SOLUTIONS, we are looking to highlight
employer diversity programs that include people with disabilities. We
would like to hear from employers who have diversity policies, and how
they include people with disabilities, individuals who have benefited
from diversity programs, co-workers of people with disabilities, and
service providers.
If you would like to contribute an article, send us an article proposal.
The proposal should include a working title and a couple of paragraphs
describing what the article will discuss. We will then send you a copy
of our "Article Specifications" describing how your article should be
formatted.
Once we have received all contributions for a specific issue, the issue
editor will choose articles for the current publication. Articles that
are not chosen for the current publication may be published at a later
date. The topic for the next issue will be announced once the preceding
issue has been prepared and released. The Hire Disability Solutions'
community will influence the issue's topics.
Please send all article proposals and questions about SOLUTIONS to
Kristen.
