[Jobs] Old JOB Seminar Recordings

Hello Everett and listers,

Alternatively the NFB Employment Committee could establish a Web site on
which employment-related material in various media can be posted. That is
assuming that it is not possible to include them on the national Web site.
But first we need to round up as many of them as possible and digitize them
so they can be posted on the Web. I'm of the feeling that steps need to be
taken to ensure that archived recordings of all past NFB events need  to be
preserved and made available in a digital form for those wanting them. It's
too bad we didn't think of this when the old JOB was still around. The best
thing we can do is round up as many of them as possible and discuss where to
archive them with our national leadership.Assuming NFB materials are a
concern of our Library Services Committee you should bring it up. I'm sure
we'll be discussing it in the Webmasters Meeting given that more state
affiliates and some national divisions are now offering live streaming of
their events and archiving them on their Affiliate Web sites.

Hello Peter, and all,

Peter, I can't help you, I don't have any of those
recordings.  But I think it'd be a great thing to have
them all lined up on a page on the main NFB site at
www.nfb.org.

You are correct in that there would still be useful
input on finding a job and a career.  I like this idea.
But rather than for your own personal collection, how
about on some public page, all in one place, for future
reference?  Someone could even go through each one and
give a short list of points to be learned from each
one.  That would be a useful resource.  I'd even be
willing to put such lists together, to help, if someone
had all the recordings.
