Attached is the job announcement, detailed position description,
executive search timeline and resource links for a nationwide
recruitment to identify a new Executive Director for the California
State Independent Living Council (SILC).  This is a unique opportunity,
as the SILC is an independent state agency that maintains linkages and
partnerships with all disability-related agencies and organizations
statewide.  

This is an exempt state government position, with hiring authority and
supervisory responsibility vested in the Council.  The competitive
compensation package includes exceptional state government benefits,
including supplemental state retirement.

The SILC office is ideally located near the State Capitol, with a move
