[Jobs] OT: Jury duty

Yes they do. Then you go in and they have you sitting in a room awaiting the
next phase which is the jury selection in the court room. The attorneys from
both sides ask you a lot of questions and talk about the case at hand. Then
they will randomly ask you some questions about your opinion. If you lean
towards a strong side then you probably will be eliminated from the trial
and are free to go. Others who are not so one sided or neutral could remain
on the jury pool. In Texas, I was chosen and when I called them and asked if
I could serve on the jury even though I was blind, the clerk said, just send
in the paper work and say you have a disability. She never answered the
question about whether I could serve or not. She just kept saying please
send in your paperwork with the proper information. I never sent it in
hoping I would get called again but I have never been served again. I say go
for it and enjoy the process. I think it would be a great learning
experience. Remember that Justice is Blind.
