I would encourage you to go for the job.  I got my current job despite
not quite having the credentials normally required for the position.
The job requested a master's degree in rehabilitation teaching or
related field.  I have a bachelor's degree in special education.  I was
told I had the best Braille skills of everyone interviewed, and the
staff liked my experience working with children and adults in volunteer
positions.  Good luck.
