Hi James!
You could get a lot of valuable experience applying for the job. Do you have a cover letter and a resume? You can look on the website provided to find out more about the job requirements  and call the Kansas state office if you have additional questions. Make sure your resume addresses the skills required for the job you want. For example: the announcement said the are looking for someone who is proficient in grade II Braille, has good communication and technology skills. It also talks about ones willingness to attend blindness training.
