Program Consultant I - Req 155978, Closes May 9, 2007, Range 24
Responsible for planning and teaching Braille and Basic Communication
Skills to clients who are blind or visually impaired at the
Rehabilitation Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired.  Experience
in the supervision, education or training of individuals who are blind
or visually impaired in classroom setting.  Successful candidate must be
willing to undergo blindness skills training and to adhere to the
application of Adult Learning Theory, particularly as used in Structured
Discovery Learning.  Must be proficient, at a minimum, in Grade II
Braille (reading and writing) and have experience/knowledge in adaptive
and assistive technology for the blind as used  in areas of
communication.
