Dear Liz,

There are places where you can go to get the training you are seeking.  The 
ATI Institute comes to mind.  These are the people who sponsor the Talking 
Communities web site and they offer such a course on line and in a physical 
location in California.
It may be possible to get scholarships to this or get your state Division of 
Blind Services to pay for it.  You might even apply for an NFB scholarship.
