JOB TITLE:               SUPPLY STORE ASSOCIATE

                                    Material Handler

 

SKILL LEVEL:          SERVICE CONTRACT WORKER

 

DESCRIPTION:        Perform material handling and stock clerk duties, as
well as some cashier and customer service duties utilizing an automated
point-of-sale system.   Responsibilities will include material movement
and stocking shelves.  Duties may also include cash register operation;
providing customer service and assistance with special orders; receiving
merchandise; other duties in support of the operation of the Base Supply
Store.

 

1.                  Operate pallet jack, forklift and other material
handling equipment to move merchandise from the Remote Delivery Facility
(RDF) to the stockroom and stores.

2.                  Break down cartons and crates to restock material on
shelves and displays.

3.                  Stock merchandise on shelves at both store
locations.  Maintain neat and organized stockroom.

4.                  Interact with Delivery Drivers at the RDF and
process necessary RDF paperwork.

5.                  Deliver merchandise to customers as necessary within
the Pentagon.

6.                  Receive merchandise including inspection of items,
reconciling shipping documents with purchase records, and file
maintenance

7.                  Operate computerized point-of-sale system register
by scanning merchandise and entering transaction data as required to
record sale and authorizing information.

8.                  Provide customer service to include providing
information to customers, answering customer inquiries, and placing
customer orders.

9.                  Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

EQUIPMENT USED:            Material handling equipment including pallet
