Duties Within the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, the position

Administrator this position will manage administrative operations, human

resource development, and support programs required for the delivery of

DVR services. The Deputy to the Field Services Administrator will be

responsible for managing the following:

*	Assist in building and maintaining functional teams with Area
Managers, 

Supervisors, and Field staff.

*	Manage and oversee all field service activities. 
*	Provide oversight to field staff regarding attendance, payroll,
recruitment, and 

related personnel functions for all field service positions.

*	Implement risk management procedures and practices and manage
the 

annual risk assessment self evaluation including development and

implementation of any corrective action plan for every field office.

*	Manage the tracking of inventory and assets for every field
office, including 

implementation of the annual inventory.

*	Manage leases, tenant improvements, maintenance and repairs for
all DVR 

field offices.

*	Manage staff training and development for all field staff
including the 

development and implementation of an annual human resources

development plan.

*	Manage implementation of the division's support programs
including 

assistive technology, independent living, transition from school to
work, SSA

benefits and retention, business relations, use of interpreter contracts
and

disability/diversity outreach.

*	Manage relationships with the division's VR service providers
including 

Community Rehabilitation Providers, Assistive Technology Providers, and

Independent Living Providers to assure consistent high quality service

delivery. Resolve provider complaints or disputes as they arise.

*	Influence the allocation of $24 million in case service funds.
Provide 

oversight for the prudent, responsible management and expenditure of
funds.

*	Supervision of one Business Relations Specialist (WMS1), one SSA
Benefits 

and Retention Program Manager (WMS2), one Community Rehabilitation

Program Manager (WMS2) and one Training Specialist (SHPM2).

*	Consult with the Field Services Administrator (FSA) to create an


organizational environment that maximizes customer success as well as,

coordinate field service operations with other functions of the
division.

*	Act as the Field Services Administrator during times of leave
and absence of 

the FSA.

*	Assure field compliance with applicable federal, state, and
departmental 

laws, regulations, policies and procedures that govern the delivery of
field

services, including implementation of relevant state plan requirements.

*	Provide coordination for state level collaboration with other
DSHS programs, 

Tribal, and workforce system partners.

 

Qualifications 

*	Two years experience in a VR Title 1 program or a Master's
Degree in 

Vocational Rehabilitation.

*	Two years of administrative experience in a vocational
rehabilitation, social 

service or governmental agency.

*	Experience working with people with disabilities. 
*	Knowledge of the Federal Rehabilitation Act, Americans with
Disability Act,
