Description of Duties:
See Class Specification - GA50.

Other Specific Duties:

DETERMINES ELIGIBILITY, DESIGNS AND IMPLEMENTS SPECIALIZED PROGRAMS OF

REHABILITATION SERVICES FOR THE OLDER BLIND IN A MULTI-COUNTY DISTRICT.

COORDINATES COMMUNITY RESOURCES TO MEET CONSUMERS NEEDS.  PROVIDES NECESSARY

REHABILITATIVE AND MEDICAL SERVICES TO INCLUDE COUNSELING, LOW VISION, AND

TRAINING TO CONSUMERS AND THEIR FAMILIES.

State of South Carolina Minimum Training and Experience Requirements:
(NOTE: ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS MAY BE APPLICABLE FOR INDIVIDUAL POSITIONS IN THE EMPLOYING AGENCY.)

A bachelor's degree and professional experience in human services or social services programs.

Additional Requirements:
Note: If any additional requirements are listed above applicants must also meet those Additional Requirements to be considered for the position.

Preferred Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE IN BLIND REHABILITATION OR AGING SERVICES HIGHLY DESIRABLE.

Note: These Preferred Qualifications are desirable, but not mandatory, for applicants to be considered qualified for the position
