If it's the Bender I have heard of, they are headed up by Joyce Bender, who
has a disability. They actively recruit blind persons for jobs, mostly
information systems ones, for positions throughout the U. S. They have
contacted me several times seeking job applicants, the last time in March
2007, so I don't think it would hurt to see if they can help you.

I have found that as soon as they find out an applicant is blind or visually
impaired, the rest of the conversation goes to, "Someone will get back to
you very soon". That's it. Everyone of the people who I have sent to them
has gotten no call back and recently did not even get the call from the
person from the Pittsburg office to return a call.

Josh I looked at that website and did not find it to be encouraging at all.
They seem to like bragging about themselves, and they play hide-and-go-seek
about a Federal employment opportunity, and finally I get the impression
that they are all about people who are physically disabled. If you are
looking for a job with the Federal government then go directly to usajobs,
you do not need to use another website or recruiter to connect you with
Federal jobs, and that was all that I saw from a practical point of view
from this resource.
