Yes, there are several:
"Tell Me" has a business search section to locate business numbers: 1-800-555-TELL (8355)
FREE 411: 1-800-FREE411 (373-3411)
1-800-411-SAVE (411-7283)
You have to listen to a little advertisements sometimes, but they are usually pretty good at getting your number. FREE 411 only lets you get one number at a time. If you want more than one number, you have to call back each time. FREE 411 used to connect you for free, even long distance for a few minutes, but they stopped doing that. There's a newer number that will connect you for free, but I don't remember it because I haven't used it yet. And I don't remember where I stored it in my documents, but this is a start.

from long distance information calls and local. SBC bought ATT and now
provides far worse service and no exemption for long distance information
calls. Does anyone know a source or 800 number for making free long distance
information calls?
