Hey, great answer, Jessica. Thanks!
It says: "Developed from money chain letters in May
1935." I wonder if it's been illegal since all those
decades ago. Jeez, I hope not. lol. All I can say
then is, I got the letter long before I learned about
the negative side of such things. It of course sounded
great to me, if it would work. So I tried. I was the
typical clueless dreamer looking for an easier way to
make my desired millions. I was the stereotypical
end-reader they wanted, looking back at it. And since
every generation comes up with new dreamers who are as
yet, clueless in many ways, if I had no conscience, I
might send out such leters or run such programs myself
every few years.
Bah. I've learned, and as "me mum" said, I've always
learned the hard way. (smile)
Thanks Again,
Everett

Here are five definitions for a pyramid scheme:
• A pyramid scheme is a system of selling goods where
commissions are paid
to recruit new sellers. The commissions are based on
the number of sellers
recruited.
The right to sell the goods is sold to an increasing
number of sellers at
lower and lower levels.
• An illegal financial scheme in which: (1)
participants are recruited by
chain letter, by friends, or at meetings, (2) a list of
n names is displayed
or
distributed (often sold) to new participants, and (3)
the payment of an
"ante" to the top name on the list by new participants
is notarized or
supervised.
Developed from money chain letters in May 1935. See
Springfield5.
• When the organizers of the scheme use the assets of
new investors to make
profit payments to the old investors. The scheme
typically has no other
source
of revenue other than from the new investors. Pyramid
schemes, often called
ponzi schemes, progress geometrically until they reach
the point that the
operators
cannot find enough recruits (victims) to continue the
payout. ...
• a fraudulent scheme in which people are recruited to
make payments to the
person who recruited them while expecting to receive
payments from the
persons
they recruit; when the number of new recruits fails to
sustain the
hierarchical payment structure the scheme collapses
with most of the
participants losing
the money they put in
• A pyramid scheme is a non-sustainable business model
that involves the
exchange of money primarily for enrolling other people
into the scheme,
usually
without any product or service being delivered. Pyramid
schemes have been in
existence for at least a century. ...
as you can see, by these definitions if you actually
take the time to read
my site, and everything it has to offer, we do not use
pyramid schemes.
