Hi Josh, and all,

I haven't checked into this particular program yet,
that James mentioned. But I know that it's huge, the
shopping thing to "earn money." Or, as some say, cash
back. Others call it points, whatever.

One examples are credit cards that give you points when
you purchase with their card. You can then use those
points for numerous things, one of which often is
frequent-flyer miles.

Another example is here in my area and I have no doubt
in numerous regions across the nation. Local grocery
chains are offering coupon buying systems. Not only
can you buy a coupon through this store, specifically
for dozens of other stores and chains in the area, but
by doing so you also gain "cents off" your gas
purchases when buying gas through them. This sort of
"cents off" gas purchase program became huge last
Summer pretty much, when gas prices first shot up to,
what was it, $3 per gallon or more? For every, like,
$10 you spend with this chain, you get a few cents off
each gallon of gas you later purchase through them.

Just like saying you "save money" by buying something
with a coupon, these programs use the same supposed
logic to tell you you're "earning money" while spending
at a particular store, or using a particular card.
While true, it's mere pennies for numerous dollars
spent. Remember, they are still making a profit, while
"giving away" money to you.

I'm just guessing here, since as I said, I haven't
checked it out yet, but I'd bet that with the "mall"
opportunity James shared, you "earn money" by
purchasing through that online mall. Actually, that's
a fairly popular way to earn money for fundraisers,
online, too. Nonprofits do that stuff all the time. Or
at least used to. Might not be as popular these days.

Hope This Helps,
Everett
