Second Annual Advocacy Skills Seminar Recording Available
An MP-3 recording of the second annual Advocacy Skills Seminar held
during the 2007 national convention of the National Federation of the
Blind is now available for downloading and listening. Because of the
program length, this recording is divided into two files. If you were
unable to attend this Wednesday afternoon and evening seminar, but want
to listen to the seminar content, please feel free to access this
recording.
The recording may be accessed by visiting the National Federation of the
Blind of Kentucky Web site at:
www.nfbky.org
Once there, go to the "convention" link and then to "Scott's Pod cast"
link. This should bring you to a page where the audio for the seminar
should automatically start. Links on this page are available for
downloading the recording.
I would like to acknowledge Michael K Freholm, a member of our Kentucky
affiliate, and his team of volunteers for their interest and initiative
in helping to produce this recording. Michael enjoyed the first Advocacy
Skills seminar held in Dallas in 2006, and he recommended that future
programs be recorded and archived. During the planning for this year's
event, Michael followed up and offered his technical expertise to help
manage the recording of this seminar. I was pleased to accept his offer.
Should anybody have technical questions about accessing this recording,
please contact Michael K Freholm at:
mfreholm at blindnet.zzn.com
He or one of his volunteers will be best equipped to assist you with
your inquiry.
I hope that this recording proves an invaluable resource to all
Federation advocates.
