Hi,
As far as I have found out, this is the only school that does what it does:
teach people who are blind how to tune pianos and work with them. Where
else would they send you if not there given that you want to learn how to
do that job?

Hi Everyone,
I'm working with a VR counselor in IL in order to attend The School of
PIano Technology for the Blind or Eml Fries as it was once known.
pianotuningschool.org My request is this. I need something stating that
this school is the best fit for those who are blind and/or vision impaired
seeking a career as a piano technician. VR is somewhat bauking at the idea
of paying for my move/relocation out there. So I need as much amo to
provide those higher up in order to demonstrate that no there isn't a
school in IL that will train or even wants to train the blind and vision
impaired. I know this from my experience and interactions with them. Any
and all help will be appreciated, and is appreciated in advance. Thanks so
much.

ps. any ideas on where I can gain financial assistance on moving/relocating
would be great. For some reason VR only want to work with the individual
seeking services. Ok so my wife and 2 year old stay behind in Chicago? I
don't think so :-) LOL
