Salary: Counselor I - $ 2,370.91 / month - Bachelor's Degree
Counselor II - $ 2,739.71 / month - Master's Degree
Description:
Provides counseling with students about blindness and attitudes toward
blindness.
Works effectively as a member of the Orientation Center team and
participates in all of its functions.
Participates with students in educational, social and training
activities.
Provides appropriate vocational counseling to assist in career planning
and the transition from Orientation Center training.
Provides instruction to students in non-visual techniques for typing,
abacus, keyboarding, access to computers, instruction in software
applications, handwriting, etc.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in behavioral sciences or related areas with two years
of teaching experience, and a knowledge of blindness technology.
Masters degree preferred.
