Shipping & Receiving/Material Handler - Memphis

Duties include keeping production moving by making sure assigned work
stations and machines are supplied, coordinating incoming & outgoing
shipments, leading inventory team, ensuring production areas are kept clear
of work-in-process and finished goods.  Candidate must be able to routinely
lift 75 pounds, roll/pull 1000 pounds and have prior shipping experience.

Development & Community Relations Associate—Part-time (32 hours) -
Cincinnati

Position provides administrative & coordination support for the Development
& Community Relations Department with emphasis on donor processing, matching
external speaking engagements to staff, presenting the organization to

Circulation & Warehouse Associate - Cincinnati

Responsibilities include for receiving and processing new NLS book titles,
receiving, sorting, checking in and shelving books.  As well as providing
material handling and warehouse management support to our Multi-State Center
East location.  Candidate must be able to climb library ladders and
routinely lift 50 lbs.

Camp Coordinator - Memphis 
1/12/2007
The Camp Coordinator plans and supervises all activities, including an
overnight excursion, related to the day camp in Memphis.  Our camp is open
for children in the 7th-12th grade who are blind and visually impaired . 
The camp runs for 2 three-week sessions, (including one week for technology
instruction). 
The position also includes interviewing parents/camper for intake, assisting
in the planning and coordinating for a Transition Weekend for graduating
seniors.  

Candidates must posses experience working with adolescents, preferably those
who are blind and visually impaired, have proficient computer skills and
maintain grammatically correct records/reports and experience working with
adaptive technology.  

Our Camp Coordinator position will work part-time (10-15 hrs/wk) during the
months of March-May & September and then will be full-time (40 hrs/wk)
during the months of June-August.

Braille Proofreader - Cincinnati

Assists with onsite Braille production process by proofreading
post-translation material.  High School diploma/GED or equivalent
combination of education and experience required.  Braille transcription
certification and/or proofreading certification preferred.  Must have a good
command of the English language and keep current with changes in the Braille
code.

Orientation & Mobility Specialist - Memphis

Provides evaluation and instruction to clients in the Memphis area.  Must
possess a valid certificate in orientation and mobility from ACVREP or be
actively pursuing certification.  Individual must be able to document and
maintain grammatically correct records/reports, provide blindness awareness
to community and able proficient in P/C skills.  Responsibilities also
include performing visual assessments, accompany consumers to low vision
clinic and instruct on use of low vision near and distance aids.  Also
conducts functional low vision assessments as needed.

Low Vision Clinic Coordinator - Cincinnati 
11/7/2006
Coordinates all clinical and instructional aspects of Clovernook’s low
vision services.  Provide direct support to the clients, optometrists,
ophthalmologists and staff to ensure the provision of comprehensive,
seamless, and client centered vision rehabilitation services as part of
Clovernook’s overall rehabilitation
program.  Serves as lead low vision therapist in conducting low vision
assessments, examinations, and follow-up training.

Candidate must be have valid certification as a Low Vision Therapist or be
actively pursuing certification.
