Job Title:                                Teacher of the Visually
Impaired 

 

Job Description:                    Provide itinerant supportive
services to children with visual impairments in regular and special
education classrooms.

Develop/implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

                                       Provide special education and
vision adaptations and
modifications to instructional strategies in a least restrictive
environment.

 

Job Location:                         CESA 5 school districts 

 

Qualifications:                        Knowledge of Braille

Knowledge of core curriculum

Working knowledge of State and Federal Special Education law

Strong communication and writing skills

 

Salary:                                    $32,000 to $55,000 -
Commensurate with education and experience.  Full benefits and IRS rate
mileage reimbursement

 

Desired Start Date:              August 23, 2007
