[Jobs] resumes

Albert,

Actually, I haven't known any blind people who got job interviews from a
resume posted on a website. Passive job search methods don't work very well.
Even if you have a resume on a website, you still need to check the job
listings on that website and apply for specific ones. Nobody is going to
come and offer you a job. You must do all the work yourself.

Try www.indeed.com, which is a website that searches the Internet for job
openings and consolidates them in one place. You cannot apply for jobs on
the Indeed website, but they have links to the employers who are advertising
the jobs and you can apply on their websites. It is kind of a one stop shop
for job seekers.

Hello Albert, and all,

Doing a search on Google for the following search
string:

"post your resume" jobs

gave nearly 16-million result pages. But crossing-out
all the Monster.com, CareerBuilder.com, and HotJobs.com
pages still left 6-million result pages offering places
to post your resume.

If you want more sites to submit to, including one of
the first few in the results that offered to post your
resume to 80 job-search sites, go to www.google.com and
simply copy and paste in the following line of text
(including all quotes, just as written below):

"post your resume"
jobs -HotJobs -CareerBuilder -Monster

The quotes in that line of text will allow you to find
pages with that exact phrase. The word 'jobs' will
also be on each page. But no pages showing the words
that have those dashes will be shown. The dashes work,
on Google.com anyway, like saying, "Minus this or minus
that sort of page." So the 3 major job sites you
already posted to shouldn't show up in the 6-million
search results, using that search-string.

So now you'll have a few n result pages to search
through if you want them. (smile)

Honestly, I'd recommend getting a cup of coffee or some
drink, settling in to relax at your computer, and
giving it a few hours of your time. Hopefully your
time-investment will pay off for you here. Just copy
that full line of text, and paste into the Google
edit-field.

May God bless your efforts, Albert.

Regards,
Everett
