Hi Jessica,

I used to live in San Antonio, Texas for eleven years. There are several
apartments on Broadway Street. It is on a bus line to get you downtown and
other parts of the city.
Peter and Mary Donahue have been good friends of mine for several years.
They have lived there for almost 20 years and they can help you learn the
city.
The paratransit system was good when I was there but be prepared for long
rides when you use them.
I used to live at Broadway Place Apartments at 9110 Broadway.
They have 1, and 2 bedroom apartments.
When I was there it was somewhere between $525.00 and $600.00 per month. 
Other places may have $400.00 and others will be higher.
I would shop around until you can find something that you can be happy with.
Many of the apartments do not have washer and dryer hookups in there.
I wish you good luck in finding a job and a place to live in.

I currently live in Cincinnati, Ohio working as a Braille Proofreader and
I'm living in a 3-bedroom townhouse with washer and dryer hook-ups. This
makes my life so much easier now because I can do laundry at anytime when it
is convenient for me to do it.
