Dear Jo Ann,
Some thing's that could help you with filing are: 1). knowing basic Braille
so that you can label file folders for yourself and read them anytime,
anywhere.
2). You can make use of an OCR software program such as open book, Kursewell
1000 or maybe Omni Page to read documents to hear the info on them to
detremine how they should be filed and in which folder.
3). You might be able to get your counselor to obtain a Bar Code scanner
that will let you assign a bar code to folders and even documents, that you
can then scan and sort to place in the proper folders.
These are some of the techniques that I use to file documents and folders.
4). You can use a dyna-labeler to make labels for folders and even color
coded stick on dots to help you identify folders more quickly.
Mostly, you will have to invent your own system for doing it. You just need
to have multiple ways of doing it that work for you.
Good luck,
