My client, a national non profit organization bettering the lives of the
disabled is looking for a Director to oversee all day-to-day operations
in their chapter in Northern VA, just outside of Washington DC.  
 
This Director will oversee all aspects of the chapter, including
managing program staff, the budget, fundraising (via: corporate,
government and foundation proposals and stewardship, major and planned
giving, special events, etc.) recruiting and supervising volunteers,
managing the state and local board (incl: recruitment, training, and
retention).  
 
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years as an
accomplished development/fundraising professional including management
experience and successful, direct experience working with donors.  Must
be experienced and effective in working with volunteers for the
cultivation and solicitation of major gifts prospects.  The Candidate
must understand and have the ability to articulate the mission of the
organization through public speaking in the local community, at special
events and in the media.  Must be comfortable with high level potential
donors and corporate executives. The salary is up to the low $90's for
the right person.
